What is general admission?

A general admission membership means you do not have a reserved seat but have a designated area from which you can choose your seat at each game. The general admission areas at the MCG are on levels 1 and 4, however level 1 may be upgraded to a reserved seat area for matches where a higher attendance is expected.

Which memberships provide general admission access?

Access Home, Access Home & Away, Tiger Insider, Alannah & Madeline Foundation, Country, Women's Football Foundation and Interstate Memberships all provide general admission access to Richmond home games. The number of games included in your membership depends on what package you hold and you can find more information on the individual packages can be found below.

How do I attend games using my general admission membership?

To attend a Richmond home game using your general admission membership, you simply need to bring your membership card, scan it at the turnstiles at gates 1, 2, 3 and 5, and proceed to the general admission areas. These areas will be communicated each game and will be clearly signed on match day. Once you get to the designated area you can choose from any available seat within that area and if you need any assistance please see an usher.

How do I use my Access Home or Access Home & Away membership?

Your Access Home membership allows you attend to all 11 Richmond home games. This includes all games at the MCG and the game played at Marvel Stadium in Round 5. For games you wish to attend you simply need to follow the instructions above. It is strongly recommended that you upgrade your seat for games throughout the year where a higher attendance is expected. Games that we expect you will need to upgrade for include home games against Collingwood, Essendon and Carlton. Instructions to upgrade can be found below.

Access Home & Away members can attend all Richmond games played in Melbourne. This includes all 11 Richmond home games and 6 away games. The process to attend away games is exactly the same as the home process above. Simply take your membership card to the away games, scan through the turnstiles and proceed to the general admission areas. If you wish to upgrade for a reserved seat for away games you can follow the process outlined below.

How do I use my Tiger Insider membership?

As a Tiger Insider member you do not need to let us know when you are attending games, you can simply scan your card at any three matches of your choice and proceed as normal. It is important to note though that it is strongly recommended that you upgrade to a reserved seat for the matches where a higher attendance is expected. Games that we expect you will need to upgrade for include games against Collingwood, Essendon and Carlton. Instructions to upgrade can be found below.

How do I use my Alannah & Madeline Foundation membership?

The Alannah & Madeline Foundation membership allows you general admission access to one Richmond home game of your choice. Follow the instructions above for game entry. It is important to note though that it is strongly recommended that you upgrade to a reserved seat if you intend on coming to the games against Collingwood, Essendon or Carlton.  Instructions to upgrade can be found below.

How can I upgrade to a reserved seat?

You can absolutely upgrade to a reserved seat on a game by game basis. It is highly recommended that you upgrade for certain matches throughout the year so you avoid disappointment. There are three home matches that we expect you will need to upgrade for:

  • Richmond v Collingwood, Round 2 Thu 28 Mar
  • Richmond v Melbourne, Round 6 Wed 24 Apr
  • Richmond v Essendon, Round 10 Sat 25 May

To upgrade your ticket you simply need to visit the Ticketek website, select the game you wish to upgrade for, enter your 12-digit barcode number (found on the back of your membership card) and pay the associated upgrade fee.You can also purchase additional tickets in the same transaction that will be purchased at full price. 

For Access Home & Away members you can follow the same process to upgrade for Richmond away games played in Melbourne.

I require wheelchair seating, what do I do?

The general admission areas have easy access and disabled seating available. For games played at the MCG you can reserve a seat by contacting the Accessible Seating Hotline on 1300 665 915 or by visiting a Ticketek Agency. For games at Marvel Stadium please phone the Ticketmaster Accessible Seating line on 1300 446 925.

I have a companion card, what do I do?

The AFL is an affiliate of the companion card program that exists in some states. It agrees to provide an admission ticket for the cardholder’s companion or carer at no charge. To add a companion seat to your membership account please contact the Membership Team on 1300 742 466. Companion cards must be shown before purchase.

Can I bring a friend?

Your membership card will only allow you one entry per game, but you can purchase additional tickets in the general admission areas. Matches where a higher attendance is expected may not have availbility, so it is strongly recommended you purchase reserve seats and upgrade your membership for these matches.

If your friend has also has a general admission membership then it is as simple as ensuring you select seats together.

Can someone else use my membership card?

Richmond Football Club memberships are non-transferable. The membership and all associated benefits can only be used by the membership holder.

What if I lose my membership card?

Please contact the Richmond Membership Team on 1300 742 466 to organise a replacement. There is no charge on your first replacement but subsquent card reprints may incur a fee.

How do I collect my cap or scarf?

Your general admission membership entitles you to either a member cap or scarf. These can be collected at our MCG home games until our Round 10 match. To collect your item simply present your membership card at the membership marquees located outside the stadium at gates 3 and 5. If you aren't able to collect your item by Round 10 please give the Richmond Membership Team a call on 1300 742 466.
