In 2018, Richmond’s Level 2 Premiership Circle members have the added benefit of being able to return their reserved seat and receive cash back, should their seat be re-sold. Premiership Circle members, who cannot attend a particular home game at the MCG this year, have the opportunity to return their Level 2 seats for fellow Richmond supporters to use.

Level 2 reserved seats that have been returned by Premiership Circle members will be available for purchase via Ticketek and only to fellow Tigers fans.

The seat-return program not only adds value for our Premiership Circle members, but also provides Richmond fans with a unique opportunity to purchase the best seats in the house. Premiership Circle members now have great flexibility with their membership and will be rewarded in cash, if their returned seats are on-sold to other Richmond supporters.

There’s no better atmosphere than watching the Tigers play in a packed MCG surrounded by fellow Richmond members. Therefore, the Club encourages all Premiership Circle members to assist the Yellow and Black cause by returning their seat when they can’t attend a home game at the MCG.

1. What is seat return?
Seat return is a program that gives all Premiership Circle Level 2 Reserved Seats members the ability to return their reserved seats to the club when they are unable to attend a home game at the MCG. This seat will then be sold via Ticketek to other Richmond members and supporters.

By returning your seat, you allow fellow members and supporters to experience game day in your premium seat. If your seat is successfully sold, you will receive a cash back reward into your nominated bank account.

NOTE: Once you have returned your seat you cannot change your mind. Your membership barcode will be blocked for that game and you will not be able to scan your card at the gate or gain access to your seat.

2. What benefits do I receive for returning my seat?
If your reserved seat is successfully sold via Ticketek, you receive cash back into your nominated bank account. Cash back reward amounts are:

The week after the match you will be notified by email from the club if you seat has or has not been successfully sold. Funds for all successfully sold seats will be processed by the club in the week after the match into the nominated bank account. It can take up to 14 days for the funds to be seen in your bank account.

*If you do not have a valid email address listed with the Richmond Football Club you will be required to contact the club to request this information

3. When can I return my seat?
You can return your seat from now up until 12pm (midday) the Wednesday prior to the game. Returning seats early benefits all Richmond members and puts you into the active seat return price draw.

4. How do I return my seat?
To return your seat, log into your My Richmond account with your member ID and Password and follow the instructions below.

*Please note, seats cannot be returned by emailing the club.

5. If I return my seat, will I have access to it for the rest of the season?
Yes, if you return your reserved seat it will only be for the game/s you have selected to return your seat for. You will have your reserved seat for all other homes games.

6. How do I purhcase a returned seat?
All returned seats will be available to Richmond general admission members and supporters via Ticketek.  These members must enter their membership barcode number to gain access to these reserved seats.

7. How do I know if my seat is sold?
We will contact you via email the week after the game to let you know if you seat has, or has not sold.

8. If i return my seat can I still get General Admission to the game?
No, if you return your reserved seat you will not be able to get access to the game at all. Your membership card will be deactivated and you will not get access into the ground or to your reserved seat.

9. What are the benefits of returning my seat early?
By returning your seat early you also have a greater chance of your seat selling as you are giving fellow Richmond fans a longer opportunity to purchase your seat.

10. I have a reserved seat and when I log into my account there isn’t an option to return it.
There are a few reasons you may not be able to return your reserved seat:
i. Only Premiership Circle Level 2 Reserved seat members are able to return their reserved seat Richmond Home games at the MCG. If you are a Punt Road Boundary, Punt Road Undercover, Punt Road Family, Punt Road Balcony or 3121 member you will not be able to return your reserved seat for our home games.

ii. Premiership Circle Ponsford Stand Level 2 members are unable to return their seat for the Round 2 Home game against Collingwood.

11. My whole family has reserved seats but when I log into my account I can only see my seat.
To return all individual seats for your family you need to log into each individual family member accounts using their Account ID and password and return each of their seats separately. If you are having any trouble please contact the Membership Department on 1300 RICHMOND (1300 742 466).

12. I have returned my reserved seat but I have decided I want to attend the game now.
Once you have returned your reserved seat you cannot get it back. Your membership barcode will be blocked and will not be able to scan it at the gate or gain access to your seat.

13. I received an email letting me know my seat has successfully sold but I have not received cash back into my bank account.
There are a few reasons you may not have seen your cash back amount if you were notified that your seat was successfully sold:
i. The cash back reward can take up to 14 days to be seen in your nominated bank account.

ii. Your bank account details do need to be added to your My Richmond account. If you have not added your details please log into your My Richmond account by using your Membership ID and password. If you are having trouble please feel free to contact the membership department on 1300 RICHMOND (1300 742 466).

iii. If you are behind on your monthly instalments your cash back reward amount will be applied to your arrears.

iv. If you are in a family membership, the cash back reward for all of the family members will be deposited into the Family Head’s account.

  1. By returning your seat through the Seat Return Program, you confirm your understanding and acceptance of the below Terms and Conditions of the program.
     
  2. Members with Premiership Circle memberships are eligible to offer their seats for seat return for Richmond home games played at the MCG.
     
  3. Seats may be returned using one of the following methods:
    1. Online, by logging in to your My Richmond Account with your membership number and password. This can be done at any time, up until midday on the Wednesday prior to the game, or,
    2. By contacting the Membership Services on 1300 RICHMOND during business hours only (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm).
       
  4. Seats cannot be returned by emailing the club.
     
  5. Seats must be returned by midday (12:00 pm) Wednesday prior to the upcoming home game.
     
  6. Once you return your seat, you cannot use your membership for entry into the venue or to gain access to seating.
     
  7. Funds are returned to your nominated account only if the returned seat is successfully on-sold by Ticketek. There is no guarantee that a returned seat will be on-sold.
     
  8. Within one (1) week after each Richmond home match at the MCG, you will be advised by the club via email if your seat has been successfully sold or not. All seat return information will be delivered by email.
     
  9. All seat return tickets must be purchased through nominated Ticketek outlets or ticketek.com.au. Tickets sold or purchased through any other forum are not eligible for seat return funds.
     
  10. Returned seats will be offered for sale exclusively to Richmond members and supporters to ensure we maintain Richmond reserved seat areas as much as possible.
     
  11. Members will need to nominate their bank account through your My Richmond Account in order to receive funds back. Members without a nominated back account will receive a credit on their membership account.
     
  12. Funds for all sold seats will be processed by the club in the week after each match to the nominated bank account and may take up to 14 days to appear in your account.
     
  13. Members whose membership is in arrears will have the funds applied to the outstanding balance of their membership and will not receive funds into their nominated bank account.
     
  14. For Family Memberships, all family memberships’ seats will be awarded cash back if their seat is sold. All of the cash back rewards will be deposited into the bank account nominated by the Family Head.
