In line with AFL regulations, a junior is anyone under the age of 15.

Persons aged 15 and over as of 1 January 2024 are classified as an adult, unless they hold valid concession identification.

A concession member is classified as any person who currently holds a concession card issued by Centrelink (inclusive of Pensioner Concession Card or Health Care Card), Department of Veterans’ Affairs card or Department of Veterans’ Affairs issued Pensioner Concession Card or any person with a full time secondary or tertiary student card. Only the primary card holder only (i.e. not any dependants) is eligible for the concession pricing.

A person must have the appropriate form of concession to purchase a concession ticket. They must present the relevant concession documentation at point of purchase and upon entry to the ground. A second form of identification (i.e. driver’s license, Medicare card, credit card) may be requested when purchasing or utilising a concession ticket to verify the concession entitlement.

Please note, the following cards do not qualify for a concession discount:

  • Senior card
  • International student cards

The AFL is an affiliate of the Companion Card program that exists in some states. It agrees to provide an admission ticket for the cardholder’s companion or carer at no charge. This includes a reserved seat if a seat is purchased by the person requiring a carer. Companion cards must be shown before purchase.
